Visiting scholar: Ilaria Possenti
The Arendt Consortium is pleased to host as a Visiting Scholar Ilaria Possenti, Associate Professor and co-founder of the Hannah Arendt Centre for Political Studies at the University of Verona, who is engaged in collaborating for the strengthening of the relationships with the Arendt Consortium at the University of Cambridge (agreement, projects, meetings, publications, Visiting scholarships) and in a research project on “Isonomia, the freedom of equals. With Arendt, Marx, Balibar”.
At a recent HAC roundtable event, Ilaria presented a brief paper entitled “Back to the ‘right to have rights’. Why Arendt matters”, which aims at fostering discussion on potential joint research paths across different political and social disciplines – with particular reference to the history, theory, and political/social practices of inclusion/exclusion and democracy, equality, and freedom.
